New Vehicles New vehicles 2016 and newer model year will receive oil changes every 7,500 miles as recommended by General Motors. These vehicles use synthetic lubricants and allow for longer service intervals. These intervals will have a window of 1,000 miles before and after the specified interval. Example: a 22,500 mile oil change must be done between 21,500 and 23,500 miles giving the customer the flexibility to have the service completed at their convenience. General Motors will provide 2 oil changes before 24,000 miles and Courtesy will provide 3 for a total of 5 oil changes based on 3 years time or 37,500 miles whichever occurs first.  The all-new 2019 Silverado 1500 will introduce several levels of towing features to improve customers’ trailering experiences — all light-duty Silverado models have myChevrolet® trailering phone app capability and customers can add the Advanced Trailering System, which includes access to the system in-vehicle.
The Trailering Camera Package works in conjunction with both of these technologies and provides a more comprehensive trailer view. Chevrolet is also helping to take the guesswork out of calculating the combined weight of customers’ truck and trailer combinations thanks to an industry-first trailering label. In developing the all-new Silverado, Chevrolet spoke with 7,000 customers over the course of 18,000 hours. Sixty percent of those surveyed named towing as a key purchase consideration. Another recurring theme was the difficulty many customers have with certain aspects of trailering. To address this, all four trailering levels offered on the 2019 Silverado 1500 will provide customers more confidence, easier trailer hitching and improved connectivity between the truck and trailer.  With best-in-class cargo volume, box depth, box length at floor, plus a segment-leading 12 fixed tie-downs and exclusive power up/down tailgate, the 2019 Silverado 1500 is the most function al bed of any pickup.
“The bed is the heart and soul of any pickup, so we made several improvements to the bed of the all-new Silverado to give our customers an even better hauling experience,” said Tim Herrick, executive chief engineer, Full-Size Trucks, General Motors. “We’ve added so many features and benefits that it deserves its own name – Durabed.” Every Silverado bed size has increased significantly in volume for the 2019 model year.
