 Chevrolet announced that the production of the 2013 Cruze will be at the company's Lordstown, Ohio manufacturing plant. The $5.5 million decision is an investment most certainly that will pay off fast. The 2013 Cruze is a gas-powered car that will have the capacity to reach 50 mpg. The 2012 Cruze Eco already built on the success Chevrolet was seeing in sales numbers with the base Cruze.  With no modifications made, the production Camaro ZL1, driven by Camaro Engineer Aaron Link, compiled a faster track record (7:41.27) at the famed Nürburgring track in Germany than the likes of a few self-proclaimed super cars. Not only did the Camaro's time top that of a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV, it also out-performed a Nissan GT-R, Audi R8 V10, and Porsche 911 GT3. “One of the best moments is coming through ‘Fuchsröhre,’ or Foxhole. The ZL1 accelerates at an unbelievable rate down through the tunnel of trees, and into a sweeping left-hand corner flat out in fifth gear. You have to have an extremely well-mannered, confidence-inspiring car to take any corner at 160 mph without lifting off the throttle—and the ZL1 was just brilliant,” said Link.  It's the Michigan State Police Olympic games, and Chevy has taken the gold again. The Chevrolet 2012 police vehicle lineup dominated the competition. Chevy's Caprice took home first beating out the Ford Taurus in the 60-0 mph braking test; the Caprice stopped four feet less than the Taurus.  Chevrolet announced plans to bring a convertible version of the Camaro ZL1 to market in the Summer of 2012 as a 2013 model. The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 convertible will feature the same 580 horsepower, 556 lb-ft of torque, supercharged small-block V8 (LSA) engine featured in the Camaro ZL1 coupe (which recently posted an amazing 7:41.27 lap time at the world famous Nurburgring in Germany – see message attachment for details). The ZL1 convertible is expected to deliver all of the performance and technology features of the ZL1 coupe, plus the joy of an open-air driving experience. As mentioned above, production of the model will start during the Summer of 2012 as a 2013 model. The first public showing of this 2013 Camaro ZL1 Convertible occurs during next month’s LA Auto Show. The ZL1 convertible will also appear at other select Auto Shows over the next couple of months. Specifics regarding ordering and pricing will be shared with you in the Spring of 2012.
 GM will introduce a new CNG-powered commercial pickup truck early next year. The truck will join the CNG cargo vans that are already in Chevy's bi-fuel lineup. “Customers want a choice when it comes to fuel because it helps them manage their business costs,” said Brian Small, general manager, GM Fleet and Commercial Operations.
