GM recently unveiled the totally re-designed 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty 2500 & 3500 pickup trucks at the Texas State Fair.

Here's a few features of the Silverados:

• The Silverado HD has the highest payload - 7,374 pounds - and the highest conventional trailering rating - 19,600 pounds.
  
• Silverado heavy duty will come a standard 360-horsepower 6-liter Vortec gas V-8. A version is available that uses either gasoline or natural gas.
  
• Most, though will have the 397-hp, 6.6-liter, Duramax turbodiesel with 765 pound-feet of torque, paired with an Allison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission.

Chevrolet began shipping the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe to Courtesy Chevrolet.
 
“It’s an amazing sight to see the transporters filled with Stingrays heading to customers in all corners of the country,” said Dave Tatman, plant manager of General Motors’ Bowling Green Assembly plant. “The pride at Bowling Green is overwhelming and it shows in the tremendous quality and attention to detail going into each one of these new Corvettes.”
 
Bowling Green Assembly has produced approximately 1,000 Corvette Stingrays for customer deliveries. Most of these vehicles are expected to be delivered to dealers within the next few weeks. To expedite delivery, vehicles may be shipped out of build sequence, which is a normal part of any new vehicle launch.

Years have gone by with car makers trying to design a tire that doesn't need air for it to work. Well, South Korea's Hankook may have came up with a solution. This airless tire is connected with spokes and a spongy construction that will allow flex for bumps.

Chevrolet has introduced the new variant of the brands most popular version of SUVs. The Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban will have a lot of changes for its 2015 models. They will offer new safety features, more functionality, and an expanded range of technologies. The full size SUVs will also feature new style and design.

• LTZ models include third-generation magnetic ride control, a real-time damping system that delivers more precise body motion control by “reading” the road every millisecond and changing damping in just five milliseconds.
• Eighteen-inch standard wheels that are a half-inch wider, reducing tire flex for improved cornering performance. Twenty- and 22-inch wheels are available.
• New, electric variable-assist power steering system enhances fuel economy and tailors steering assist to vehicle speed.
• New four-wheel-disc brake system with Duralife™ brake rotors that offer up to double the service life, along with brake pedal revisions that improve pedal feel for stronger-feeling, more-confident braking performance.
