The First-Ever All-Electric Silverado will include available Four-Wheel Steer that enables the vehicle to turn all four wheels, for increased agility and tighter turning, especially at low speeds.
Available Four-Wheel Steer† is a chassis feature that allows the vehicle to steer all four wheels, enabling increased agility and tighter turning radius at low speeds, improved handling and stability at higher speeds, as well as great trailering dynamics. So you can turn circles – tight circles – around obstacles.
OnStar with 4G LTE1 and built-in Wi-Fi hotspot2 provides an Internet connection that's fast, reliable and more powerful than a smartphone or mobile hotspot. You can connect up to seven mobile devices at the same time, so your passengers can surf, post, stream and game at 4G LTE speed. And the first three months or 3GB of data (whichever come first) are included with the purchase of your vehicle. After that, you can purchase plans for as low as $5/month. Click here to browse plans.
How It Works
Wi-Fi uses your vehicle's built-in antenna to provide a reliable signal up to 50 feet away from the vehicle. And because it's powered by your vehicle battery, it's always on when your vehicle is running or in accessory mode.
As families prepare for their return to in-person school after a year of virtual learning, 68 percent of parents indicate being back on the road every day is a concern when thinking about their children going back to school.
With the back-to-school season in full swing, Chevrolet worked with The Harris Poll to survey more than 1,000 parents of school-aged children to discover how the pandemic affected their driving skills and the new realities that teen drivers face.

Chevrolet today revealed the Silverado electric pickup will drive circles around the competition, and with the addition of available1 Four-Wheel Steer and 24-inch wheels, it will turn circles inside them, too. Four-Wheel Steer is a chassis feature that enables the vehicle to steer all four wheels, enabling increased agility and tighter turning radius at low speeds, improved handling and stability at higher speeds, as well as great trailering dynamics.
Designed as an EV from the ground up, the Silverado electric pickup harnesses the best of the Ultium Platform and Silverado’s proven capability. The fleet and retail versions of the electric Silverado will offer customers a variety of options and are expected to be in high demand. General Motors announced it will introduce new Super Cruise1 capabilities on six model year 2022 vehicles in the first quarter of 2022. Super Cruise is the industry’s first true hands-free driver-assistance technology allowing drivers to travel hands-free on over 200,000 miles of compatible roads across the U.S. and Canada.
New capabilities include:
"We’re excited to expand Super Cruise to even more new models with additional capabilities to provide our customers with even more opportunities to go hands-free,” said Mario Maiorana, Super Cruise chief engineer. “The additional Super Cruise-enabled vehicles and new features are an important step toward our goal of enabling hands-free driving 95% of the time and getting people more comfortable with letting go of the wheel.”
GM’s vehicle intelligence platform, which provides more bandwidth and data processing power, enabled these enhancements and underscores GM’s software expertise. The digital platform also enables GM to provide over-the-air updates to select model year 2021 vehicle owners, allowing them to take full advantage of Super Cruise’s latest enhancements.
Super Cruise will be available on 22 vehicles by 2023, including Cadillac LYRIQ10 and GMC HUMMER EV SUV11. Additional vehicles that offer versions of Super Cruise include the 2022 Cadillac XT612 and the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV13.
GM launched Super Cruise in 2017 with the Cadillac brand and has added capabilities, expanded Super Cruise-enabled routes and availability on more products since then. To date, approximately 10 million miles have been driven by customers using Super Cruise across the U.S. and Canada.
The COPO Camaro returns to the drag strip for 2022 with a newly available 572-cubic-inch engine. The Big Block V-8 channels the spirit of the original 1969 COPO Camaro, a purpose-built drag racer created by dealers using the Central Office Production Order system to equip cars with Chevrolet’s largest V-8.
The COPO 572 uses a cast-iron block with four-bolt main caps, aluminum heads, a forged steel crankshaft, forged steel connecting rods and forged aluminum pistons. Pricing for the COPO Camaro with the 572 starts from $105,500 (excluding tax, title, license, and dealer fees).
The 2022 COPO Camaro is also available with LSX-based Small Block engines –
a supercharged 350-cubic-inch V-8 rated by the NHRA at 580 horsepower and a naturally aspirated 427-cubic-inch V-8 with an NHRA-rated 470 hp. All 2022 COPO Camaros use an ATI Racing Products TH400 three-speed automatic transmission.
Engineered for drag racers, the COPO Camaro is sold as a Chevrolet Performance part and cannot be registered for street use. It competes in NHRA Stock and Super Stock eliminators and comes standard with a carbon fiber hood and wheelie bars. Buyers can customize their cars with options such as a trunk-mounted weight box and parachute.
Owning a COPO Camaro places drag racers in rare company – Chevrolet has built fewer than 700 examples since the program restarted in 2012. In past years, interested customers have entered a lottery to win an allotment for one of 69 cars. Chevrolet will not limit production for 2022, and orders will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Buyers may also participate in a private tour of the COPO Build Facility in Oxford, Michigan, where each car is custom made.
