Best Fuel Economy: 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon

In accordance with the EPA fuel economy estimates, the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon are set to take the lead in fuel economy in the segment of V-6 midsize pickups. The Canyon and Colorado offer a fuel economy which supersedes their competitors by 3 to 5 mpg (miles per gallon) for the segment of V-6 pick-ups with automatic transmission.

According to the marketing manager of Colorado, Tony Johnson, Colorado is easy to own, offers a great driving experience at the best EPA fuel economy estimates of any pick up. According to Tony, Colorado is proof that only expensive technology is not a guarantee of fuel efficiency as you can get that on at a low cost as well.

The marketing manager of GMC Canyon, Kenn Bakowski had similar claims to make along with a few others. He highlighted that the aero dynamic style of Canyon and active grille shutters are being offered for mid-sized trucks by Canyon. However the addition of segment leading fuel economy has added significantly to its already strong portfolio.

Colorado and Canyon are all set to add a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine for the 2016 model year, the technical details and EPA fuel economy estimates of which will be available when the launch of these models is near. Colorado and Canyon have allowed GMC and Chevrolet to offer a wide range of choices to its customers such as midsize pickups, full-size pickups and light and heavy duty pickups. The variety offered by Chevrolet and GMC is far greater than what their competition has to offer.
