Chevy Puts Four Among “Best For The Money” Winners

In today’s highly competitive U.S. auto market, says the editors at U.S. News & World Report,  “Shoppers want value, which means giving buyers more bang for their buck” in vehicles that “add value to their owner’s lives” throughout the entire ownership experience. That’s clearly an excellent description of the Chevrolet lineup, as proven by the fact that Chevy recently had four vehicles named to the publication’s Best Car for the Money Awards 2011—more than any other brand.

The Chevrolet Malibu was the top-rated entry in the Midsize Car class, noted for its well-balanced ride, bold style, and roomy and supportive front seats. The bottom line here: The Malibu “is an excellent family car” that “stands out for its two-tone interior design.”

The Best Midsize Crossover for the Money was the Chevrolet Traverse. The popular people-mover earned kudos for its on-road manners, impressive cargo space, relatively strong fuel-efficiency performance and roomy third-row seating—which is spacious enough even for adults.

Still boasting a rugged body-on-frame chassis, the Chevrolet Tahoe took home honors among Full Size SUVs, with “good ride and handling for its size,” a “comfortable and inviting interior,” and “one of the best fuel economy ratings for a large SUV.”

Finally, in a performance that may surprise some, the Chevrolet Silverado got the call as Best Full Size Truck for the Money. The “rugged and capable” Chevy showcased “comfortable ride and handling,” as well as a wide range of available powertrain choices, trim levels, suspension alternatives and bed lengths.
